Our journey at Blonde Farms of Montana began with Gary's upbringing on his family's pig farm in Michigan. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of agriculture, he developed a profound understanding of hog farming from a young age. The original family farm had since expanded into a bustling operation.

Gary's passion for pig farming only deepened over the years, especially as he and his wife, Myra, raised their own family. With over two decades of experience under their belts, Gary and Myra were drawn to various hog-related endeavors, from 4-H projects for their children to raising animals for friends and family. However, life took an unexpected turn when Gary and Myra relocated to rural Montana.

Settling into their new surroundings, they couldn't help but notice the lack of locally sourced, humanely raised, and sustainable protein options in cattle country. This realization struck a chord, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, when food security became a growing concern.

It was then that Myra saw an opportunity to make a difference. Inspired by their shared values of integrity, sustainability, and compassion, they embarked on a mission to create Blonde Farms of Montana. Her vision? To provide their family and surrounding communities with high-quality, alternative protein options to beef, produced with care and respect for the land and animals.
